LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL: Canton Majors Rebound To Win in Extra Innings (2012-06-27)

The Canton major All-Stars downed Southern Tioga 13-8 in seven innings Wednesday. Down 5-0 entering the fifth inning, Canton rallied for four runs in the fifth and four more in the sixth, taking a 8-6 lead. Southern Tioga tied it up in the bottom of the sixth, but Canton plated five runs in the seventh to get the win.

Kaden Martell provided the big hit in the seventh, smashing a home run, to go along with his two doubles in the game.

Nick Schoonover had two singles and scored twice, while Clayton Tymeson added a single and three runs scored.

Brendan Landis and Brett Bryington each had a single and a run scored, and Nate Deeghan had a double.

Taylor Acla and Daniel Colton each scored twice and Zack Davy scored once.

Tymeson went four innings on the mound for Canton, striking out nine. Acla threw the final three innings, with one strikeout.

Canton ends their pool play with a record of 3-1.
