LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL: Canton Minors Drop Game In Bracket Play (2012-06-29) CanTroSports The Canton Minor All-Star team lost their first game of the post-season Friday, falling 6-5 to Wellsboro.
Garrett Storch had a big day for Canton, connecting on a home run, a ground-rule double and scoring two runs.
Timmy Ward had a bases-loaded triple, and scored one run. Gavin Tymeson, Joel Schoonover and Reese Allen added singles, while Allen and Tyler Williams scored a run each for Canton.
Tymeson and Ward combined for six strikeouts from the mound.
Canton will now move into the loser's bracket, hosting Northern Tier today, Saturday, at 3pm. Northern Tier lost to Potter McKean in their opener, and Canton previously beat them 20-7 in pool play.
